Dear Friends,

Without new eurythmists, eurythmy will gradually fade away. Today there are only three training centers for eurythmy in the United States (Spring Valley, Mt. Shasta and Portland). For eurythmy to continue in the coming decades, there needs to be an increasing number of eurythmists to carry the art forward. In these unprecedented times, we are all yearning for human creativity and connection. It’s an important moment to support Pacific Eurythmy in our mission to train future eurythmists.

Founded in 2017, Pacific Eurythmy is an unique part-time program unlike any other in the United States. Under the mentorship of Eurythmy Spring Valley, in New York, we have been recognized internationally and are working toward accreditation by the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland. The curriculum we teach can seamlessly transfer to other training centers around the world. This local work, out here in the Wild West, is a rare opportunity, and for the art of Eurythmy, a very important step!

Supported by an extended faculty, musicians, and Waldorf schools, we are still steadily working to train eurythmists. Together with our committed students, we have found creative ways to move forward with our program in spite of the pandemic. Unfortunately, local Waldorf schools, who generously donated practice and performance spaces in the past, are no longer able to do so. We are envisioning establishing an independent physical home, but until then we need to pay for rental space, in addition to our ongoing operational costs.

We are asking you, our community, for support. We need funds for the following:

  1. Temporary rental space as we search for a more permanent home

  2. Ongoing operational expenses for live musicians and speaker

  3. Capital for the purchase of a permanent space

We’re in need of $5,000 to support operations (and rental space) for this training year. Funds beyond this amount will be applied to a capital fund. An anonymous donor has generously offered to match the first $2,500 donated in this campaign!

Last year, donors like you gave on average $250. While the need is greater this year, no donation is too small. As a gesture of appreciation for donations of $250 and over we would like to offer you a Pacific Eurythmy tote bag!

Please support Pacific Eurythmy in our need for a space to work in and in supporting the artists who work with us to bring a full, rich experience and curriculum to our students.

With Gratitude,
